I created this handmade journal with paper scraps left over from other projects! The covers are sturdy watercolor paper doubled for stability and were left over from my Documented Life Project pages when I trimmed them to size. I colored them with a combination of spray inks and then dropped salt crystals on the papers while they were still wet to get some cool results. Each side is a little different and either side can be the front, your choice! The inside paper is Canson Mixed Media paper, and there are 30 pages, front and back, for a total of 60 pages.
This journal measures 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" and can be used vertically or horizontally oriented, whatever your preference. It can be used as a writing journal to collect your thoughts, and the paper is also sturdy enough for art journaling with wet or dry media. I used a coptic stitch for sewing with fun little eyelets so it will always lay completely flat when open. Click on the larger images to enlarge them further.
